Alicia Scardetta: The Scardetta Tapestry Woven Earring Collection

Alicia Scardetta is an outstanding fiber artist whose iconic work stands alone and out to everyone. When I discovered her work I was immediately enthralled. I wondered what her designs and weavings would look like in earring form and made an inquiry.

After reaching out, Alicia gave permission for her work to be interpreted and this collection is what was born from that.

I found the earrings were made based off the color palette I had available. Some were interpreted from her designs and others were created from the pattern.

The green pair were by far my favorite and Alicia’s too. As thanks I made her a pair of the green pattern, as well as a larger tapestry piece that embodied the collection
